International project: DigiCareVET

DigiCareVET is a two-year Erasmus+ KA-2 strategic cooperation project that aims to develop teaching methods that help vocational learners in care-related fields to use technological solutions more effectively and build confidence in applying these technologies.

DigiCareVET project addresses the critical challenges arising from Europe’s aging population and the subsequent severe workforce shortage in the social and healthcare sectors.

This pressure is magnified by a digital skills gap in Vocational Education and Training (VET), as many educators and students lack the necessary digital competencies to integrate rapidly evolving welfare technology, leading to misalignment between VET and labor market demands.

Objectives

Talking Circle Model: A collaborative peer-learning approach for teachers to share experiences on digital education.
Pedagogical framework for teaching welfare technology in VET.
Teacher training modules on integrating digital tools into VET curricula.
Integration of digital skills into practical nursing curricula.
Engagement with healthcare employers to align VET training with real job requirements.
